Ghana maintain position on FIFA ranking

Ghana have begun the year in 24th position according to the FIFA ranking released Thursday.

On the continent, the 2014 World Cup finalists are second behind Cote d’Ivoire.
But the Black Stars accumulated 851 points; two more than what was accrued in the previous ranking.
Ghana can move up if the local Black Stars perform well at the ongoing CHAN tournament in South Africa.

Only 18 friendlies have been included since December’s edition, five of which took place in 2013, with the remaining 13 in the first half of January 2014.
