The Porcupine Warriors had to rely on a brace by defender Kwabena Adusei from the spot to seal victory over their Liberian counterparts in their first outing in this year’s competition.

Players such as Michael Akuffo, Seidu Bancey, Richard Mpong and Kwabena Adusei must be on top of their game on the day if they are to break down the stubborn Liberian side on home soil.

Home side,  BYC on the other hand look confident after their marginal loss to Kotoko and are ready to give the Porcupine Warriors a run for their money, with former Hearts of Oak striker, Bernard Don Bortey, likely to feature for the Liberian side.

Berekum Chelsea, on the other hand, travel to South Sudan with a  two goal advantage but must remain focused to avoid conceeding goals when they play FC Atlabara of South Sudan on Sunday.

Elsewhere in the CAF Confederation Cup, Ghana’s representative Medeama SC stand a good chance of qualifying after coach Carlos Roberto Paulette masterminded a 2-1 win against Panthers FC in Equatorial Guinea last Sunday.

Medeama host the Guineans at the Sekondi Stadium at Essipon on Sunday and will be hoping home comfort secures them qualification into the next round.

Ghana’s second representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Ebusua Dwarfs, will face a stern test when they travel to Senegal to battle Jaraaf on Sunday.
