The Yellow and Mauves lost 1-0 at MO Bejaia last  Tuesday which ended their dreams of qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition.

But Armah, also known as Mospacka, has hailed his players for their exceptional character despite failing to reach the ultimate.

"It's not a failure; it is a disappointment. We have been unlucky but we shall look into the future with high hopes," he said,

"It was always going to be difficult against the Algerians at their own backyard.”

But the boys put up a spirited performance. Unfortunately the barren draw in Sekondi did not help matters,” he added

Meanwhile Prince Yaw Owusu, who in an earlier interview with the Graphic Sports said the club was aiming at a continental glory at the expense of the local league, made a u-turn that his side would now focus on finishing in an appreciable position on the league log.

Coach Owusu, who appeared the most disappointed at his club’s exit from the competition, attributed their loss to a defensive blunder as well as the many futile attempts at goal.

“It was very difficult for me and my players to come to terms with the loss because we did everything hoping to make it to the semi-finals and then move on to the final game but it didn’t work and I am so disappointed,” he said.
