The Princesses have spent the last 10 days fine-tuning their preparation towards the WWC, and played three matches, winning two with 6-0 and 8-0 results, before losing the final game 1-4 to a male Under-18 select side last Tuesday.

The Under-20 WWC starts on Sunday. The Princesses, pitched in Group C,  will play their first game against New Zealand on Monday after France and USA have opened the group campaign.

Twenty-one players have made it to Papua New Guinea with coach MasUd Didi Dramani, who will attempt to lead the team to their first quarter-final berth at the U-20 WWC on their fourth attempt since their debut at Germany 2008.

Almost all the players have WWC experience and exposure having played in previous Under-17 WWC with Sandra Owusu-Ansah, the latest from the Maidens campaign at the 2016 U-17 WWC in Jordan.
