Joselpho Barnes promoted to Schalke second team
Barnes, 18, played for the Schalke 04 Under-19 team at the just-ended season and was one of the key players making 21 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Graphic Sports online understands that the exploits of Barnes caught the attention of Gerald Asamoah who is the manager of the Schalke second team and he has brought him together with Matthew Hoppe, Brooklyn Ezeh, and Erdem Carnoplat, to his fold for next season.

Barnes, a natural right-back is also capable of playing on the right-wing and he is well noted for his overlapping runs down the flanks as well as good defending abilities.
Born in the German city of Oberhausen, Barnes is the son of former Ghana Under-17 skipper Sebastian Barnes and holds a Ghanaian passport though he is also eligible to play for Germany.
He joined Schalke from the youth team of Koln in the summer of 2016 and has progressed from the youth ranks up to the second team.
Barnes is considered as one of the top young emerging prospects in German football currently.
