Nicholas Opoku joins Amiens
Opoku, 23, played the second half of last season on loan at Amiens and put up an impressive output, although they could not survive the French Ligue 1.
Initially, Opoku was to sign for Metz this summer in a 4 Million Euros permanent deal but the Ligue 1 side were able to get their long-term target in the person of Mali’s Kiki Kouyate from Troyes making them to stop negotiations.
The gangling central defender still has a buyout clause of 4 Million Euros inserted in his deal loan deal and Amiens can sign him permanently if they book their Ligue 1 ticket.
He becomes the second Ghanaian player Amiens have signed this summer after they bought Emmanuel Lomotey for 500,000 from Spanish side Extremmadura last week.
Opoku previously also featured for Berekum Chelsea as well as Club Africain of Tunisia.
