Super champions Medeama on Sunday recovered from two goals caused by defensive blunders in each half to draw 2-2 with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a gruelling Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Sadium in Kumasi.

Incidentally, it was on Sunday game that both sides earned their first point. Medeama had lost their first two games against Ashgold and Accra Hearts of Oak while Kotoko lost 0-2 to WAFA in the opening game.

Medeama were punished for their penchant for giving back passes under least pressure as winger Benette Ofori chanced on one of Medeama’s blunders in the 23rd minute to a outwit goalkeeper Michael Sai to score for Kotoko.

With this being their first home match this season, Kotoko cannot afford to disappoint their faithful fans as they seek to put more pressure on Medeama’s head coach, Tom Strand.
