FreshPak League thrills: Can Sea Lions face Hasaacas?

When Season Six of the FreshPak National Women's League (NWL) began, Elmina Sea Lions were hopeful of winning the title and playing in the champions play-off.


Indeed, a 1-0 away win over Immigration at the Carl Reindorf Park raised their hopes as they displayed a good tactical and technical performance.

However, a string of poor results which followed have cost the Elmina-based side who are now fourth in the southern zone as the second round resumes. Sea Lions have declared their intention of staging a comeback though.

Tomorrow, at the Bompeh Park in Takoradi, they face a rather daunting task against zonal leaders, Hasaacas Ladies, in a game both sides will be desperate to win. Hasaacas need a win to hold on firmly to their lead, while the visitors have to lift themselves from the current fourth position.
