Dreamfort win chess competition

Dreamfort Chess Club was last Saturday adjudged winners of the "Crossfire" competition after outplaying Knightmare chess club to lift the trophy in an all Tema-based championship at the ECG Training School.

The competition which was played over two leagues saw Knightmare going into the second round having won the first encounter 3-2 but maintain their focus as Dreamfort came back stronger and determined to outclass them 4-1 to walk away with an undisclosed sum.

Daniel Asomani became the star of last Saturday’s 2017 ECOBANK Cup golf competition when he returned a net score of 66 to win the competition at the Achimota golf course.

Playing with a handicap of nine, Asomani maintained his composure despite the difficult obstacles on the course until he got to the greens where he delivered a beautiful putt into the hole.

Hearts reach MTN FA Cup final

Accra Hearts of Oak booked their place at this year's MTN FA Cup final after beating Wa All Stars by 2-1 at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Hearts’ goals were scored in each half through forwards Patrick Razak and Kwame Kizito, respectively, while Wa All Stars pulled one back late into the game through substitute, Samuel Atta Mensah.
