Africa Games LOC Chairman calls on Ghanaians to amplify awareness
Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 13th Africa Games, has appealed to Ghanaians to actively contribute to the publicity efforts leading up to one of the most significant continental events.
Securing the hosting rights in August 2018, Ghana has been diligently preparing for the continental showcase and has undertaken extensive awareness campaigns to generate interest among the Ghanaian populace.

Following the 13th Africa Games Christmas Carnival, Dr. Ofosu-Asare emphasized the need for Ghanaians to seize the opportunities presented by the tournament for both social and economic advancement.
“It is crucial for us to organize ourselves effectively and leverage the opportunities. We should serve as good ambassadors, and those in business should position themselves to benefit from the Africa Games," remarked the LOC Chairman.
Highlighting the international participation of individuals from over 54 countries, Dr. Ofosu-Asare underscored the potential economic growth the event could bring to Ghana.
The LOC is actively engaging Ghanaians nationwide in the Games, evident in the float and Christmas Carnival organized in Accra and Takoradi, respectively.
Dr. Ofosu-Asare expressed gratitude to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his unwavering support throughout the campaign.
“The Africa Games is for all of us, so we should all help in hosting the games,” he urged.

The 13th Africa Games are scheduled to unfold from Friday, March 8, 2024, to Saturday, March 23, 2024.
