Basketball: Ben Bentil returns to D-League after 10-day NBA stint
Ghanaian basketball star Ben Bentil will return to the NBA Development League (D-League) following the expiration of his 10-day NBA contract with the Dallas Mavericks last Wednesday.
Bentil will rejoin the 2014 NBA D-League Champions the Fort Wayne Mad Ants after he appeared sparingly in three games for the Mavericks, without scoring a point in 10 minutes of action.

Bentil managed two rebounds during his historic time with the Mavericks when he became the first player born in Ghana to play in the NBA.
However, it is not clear if he will rejoin the lower-tier Mad Ants in time to be selected for their next home game on March 18 against Delaware.
Sekondi-Takoradi native, Bentil was an impressive scorer at college level with Providence and was the 51st overall pick by Boston Celtics in the 2016 draft, but they opted to part ways with him prior to the start of the season.
Since then, Bentil has had stints with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China and the Mad Ants, averaging 14.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 13 contests for Fort Wayne.
