See the areas that will be affected by ECG's planned maintenance on Monday (June 1)
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance outages for Monday, June 1, 2026, across the Accra East and Accra West Regions, while a separate network fault continues to affect communities in the Volta Region.
In the Accra East Region, a planned maintenance exercise will take place on Monday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The affected areas include Old Ashongman, Agbogba, Anglican School Park, Wisconsin Hotel, Academic City, Haatso DVLA, parts of Abelemkpe, Dzorwulu, Dimples, School for the Deaf and surrounding areas. The notice, originally issued on Saturday, 30th May, states that the exercise is necessary for improved service delivery.
In the Accra West Region, a separate planned maintenance will also run from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday. The affected areas include Upper Weija, Old Weija, Oblogo, Topbase, Tuba junction, Living testimony, Fulani, Kokrobite, Oshiyie, Old Bortianor, Old Aplaku and surrounding areas. ECG has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to affected customers.
Meanwhile, in the Volta Region, ECG has reported a network fault that has resulted in power outages in several communities. According to a notice issued on Sunday, May 31, the affected areas include Gbefi, part of Golokuati, Ve Koloenu, Ve Dafor, Gbi Aveg, Gbi Wegbe, Gbi Kledzo, Gbi Godenu, Gbi Atabu and Byplan, and surrounding areas.
ECG stated that the outage is a result of a fault in its network and assured affected customers that engineers are working assiduously to replace the faulty transformers and restore supply. The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
ECG has advised customers in planned maintenance areas to make alternative arrangements for power-dependent activities during the specified hours. The company assured that power supply would be restored to all affected areas upon completion of the scheduled works or rectification of the network fault.
