Black Stars determined to beat the Pharaohs

Deputy Black Stars’ skipper, Andre Ayew, is expected to lead the Black Stars to revive their faulty start to their World Cup campaign when they play the Pharoahs of Egypt on Sunday.

Ghana must at least draw against the Egyptian in Alexandria to keep their 2018 World Cup hope alive but the absence of skipper Asamoah Gyan and nimble-footed Juventus star, Kwadwo Asamoah appears to be a major setback for the stars.

Nonetheless, Avram Grant’s charges are keen on bringing back their World Cup aspirations by ensuring the 6-1 defeat they inflicted on the Pharaohs enroute to the 2014 could be replicated.

But this time around the odds favour the Pharoahs especially when they started their campaign on a winning note after beating Congo 2-1 to sit at the summit of the table.

Besides that motivation, the Pharaohs are on a mission to avenge that heavy loss to the Stars and are determined to ensure they grab the slot for the next World Cup in Russia.

This explains why coach Hector Cuper has assembled the finest talents from the North Africa country just to ensure the Black Stars do not quash their World Cup aspirations.
