However fans who thronged the Accra Sports Stadium for Tuesday’s press conference have termed the bout “December to Remember Classic Boxing Bonanza”.
Addressing a press conference, Gyan, president of Baby Jet Promotion, urged fans to throng the Accra Sports Stadium to witness a spectacle that would live long in the memories of all spectators.
Gyan said: “Both boxers are ready to sell out a good fight to the fans and therefore I want Ghanaians to come in their numbers to support Ghana boxing”.
“We have special things planned for the bout and we want all of you to come and witness history in the making. “You know what Tagoe is capable of doing, he is creative and stylish, he will deliver what will be a perfect Christmas gift for all Ghanaians.
However, 25-year-old Momba (18 wins, five losses and two draws), speaking through an interpreter vowed to scupper the plans of Gyan by knocking-out Tagoe, who is managed by Asamoah Gyan, in the fourth round.
“I will slaughter you (Tagoe) in round four. I am not intimidated by the crowd at all. I will silence your boxer, I have beaten tougher fighters from Russia, the Philipines and other boxing nations he is no match for me”.

“I want everybody to come and see for themselves what myself and my new coach Asamoah Gyan will do on Friday, don’t wait to be told by someone else, they may not give you a vivid description of what I will do.”
“Your Christmas will not be complete without coming to the Stadium on Thursday,” said Tagoe.
