Dreams FC's victory away was very significant, and was the first time a Ghanaian side had reached the quarterfinal stage of Africa's second tier inter-club competition in the last two decades since Hearts of Oak won the maiden Confederation Cup in 2005.

Veteran striker John Antwi proved to be the hero for Dreams FC, showcasing his skill and precision by netting two crucial goals for the Ghanaian side. His stellar performance not only secured the vital away win for Coach Abdul Zito's side and also set the stage for an enthralling return leg clash on Sunday.

Coach Zito’s men will have the backing of passionate Ghanaian supporters cheering them on from the stands as they aim to exploit their home advantage to defend the first leg lead and secure a spot in the next round of the competition.

The homesters will need to avoid dropping their guard and also score against the Malians, with the experience of Antwi needed again to guide the team as they line up in attack with the likes of Abdul Aziz Issah, Sylvester Simba, Johnson Oppong, and Tamko Nuhu bolstering their offensive lineup, Dreams FC is well-equipped to secure another home victory and advance to the next round of the competition.

Coach Zito will rely on the experience and leadership of players like Solomon Boateng, Skipper Abdul Jalilu, Derrick Atta Agyei and Richard Mensah to anchor the defence and thwart any comeback attempts by the Malian side.

Dreams FC have had a great campaign so far, having won their home matches thus far and with the semi-final stage within reach, Coach Zito and his players are poised to continue their quest for continental glory, aiming to bring home a title that has eluded Ghanaian clubs for two decades.
