Kotoko lost 1-2 to  Medeama SC in last year’s final after winning the previous edition.

The Oseikrom boys play Bechem United on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the quarter-finals of this year’s competition  which promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Frimpong told the Graphic Sports that  Kotoko  had targeted the FA Cup title right from the start of the season and assured fans of the club they would definitely ride over Bechem.

“No disrespect to Bechem United but I don’t think they can match us on Sunday. I am not saying this because we are playing at the quarter- finals because the FA Cup has always been our target since the season started.

“The defeat against Medeama during last season’s final is still in mind and I believe winning this season trophy is the only way to overcome revive that dream that was shattered last year” he stressed.

The 25-year-old right-back  praised the quality in the current Kotoko squad and saying nothing shot of the double this season would not be a satisfactory achievement for the team.
