FIFA U-17: Nigeria’s title defence on course
Defending champions, Nigeria kept their FIFA Under-17 World Cup title defence on course with an emphatic 6-0 win against Australia in their Round of 16 clash at the competition ongoing in Chile.
Victor Osimhen scored the first hat-trick of Chile 2015 to see him stand alone as the outright top goalscorer in the competition so far with seven goals.
Former champions, Brazil and Mexico also kept their title chase on course as they emerged victors in their respective FIFA U-17 World Cup Round of 16 matches. While Brazil won 1-0 against New Zealand, Mexico came from behind to dump hosts, Chile out of the competition with a 4-1 win.
They were joined by Belgium, who beat South Korea 2-0, recording a victory in their first knockout game at this level.
