Volta SWAG President partners EX TV for documentary
The president of the Volta regional branch of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Mr Eric Eli Adzie, has signed a partnership deal with EX TV in Ho to put together a documentary on sports in the region.
The one-year deal was signed last Monday, with Mr Christian Sowada pending his signature for EX TV.
Aim of documentary
The yet-to-be-aired documentary, dubbed ‘Volta Sports Fact’, will focus on the history of the various sports in the region, their development and success, facts on past and present individual athletes, their achievements and failures, with the hope of educating the public.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Eric Adzie said he was motivated to embark on such a project from the abundance of unprocessed sports information available to the region and have it properly documented for the unborn generation.
Although some sports clubs have brought victory to the region, their stories have not been well told.
Challenge
Mr Adzie, an employee of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and Volta Star Radio, therefore, took it upon himself to make the facts bare to the people within his reach and beyond.
According to him, the region’s participation and identity was missing because their forebears failed to document the exploits teams, clubs, athletes did for the region over the years.
Heart of Lions support
Meanwhile, the management of Division One side, Kpando Heart of Lions, has congratulated Mr Adzie for reaching that milestone in a letter signed by the administrative manager of the club, Felix Bewu.
“The management of Heart of Lions has seen your efforts to project sports in the region and with your dedication and hard work you have climbed a step ahead in your career.
