Gyan not interested in individual battle with Eto'o, Adebayor and Van Persie
Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan says he joined Kayserispor to help the club win trophies and not to compete for individual honours.
Gyan, 31, joined Turkish SuperLig Kayerispor earlier this month on a two-year deal with the option of extending his contract for a further season.
As his side gears up for the forthcoming season, the ex Sunderland forward says he is focused on achieving success as a team and not a goal king race against the league's highest scorers.
“Eto'o, Vagner Love, Van Persie, Adebayor, and so on. Of course, it is nice to come to a league with such good quality players. But I came here to compete with Kayserispor not to compete with them."
Gyan recently recorded a half century of goals for the national team after getting his 50th goal against Ethiopia in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
