Heart of Lions involved in motor accident, nine injured

Nine players of the Ghanaian football club, Kpando Heart of Lions club have been admitted at the Tetteh Quarshie Hospital in the Eastern region after their team bus was involved in an accident on the Koforidua-Mamfe road on Wednesday evening.

The team were on their way to Akyim Tafo to honour a Division One League encounter with King Solomon on Thursday as a result of their home ban.

There were 27 players and officials on board the bus when the accident occurred and no deaths were recorded.

The injured players are currently on admission at the emergency unit of the hospital receiving treatment. 

It is unclear what triggered the accident.
