Hearts are determined to atone for their first loss of the season after crashing at home to Wa All Stars last Sunday.

The Phobians’ performance lately has won back many of their dejected followers but following a 1-3 loss to All Stars, Kenichi Yatsuhashi and his charges went back to the drawing board to correct their mistakes and bounce back strongly.

Tomorrow they are expected to throw everything into a potentially difficult match against Techiman City who have won all three home matches this season.

Coach Yatsuhashi accepted the blame for last Sunday’s loss but is positive the club would not return from Techiman empty handed, drawing his confidence from the positive atmosphere and enthusiasm among his players in camp.

Barring any injury worries, the Japanese-American trainer is expected to field a very familiar side comprising goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama, Owusu Bempah, Kennedy Appiah, Robin Gnagne and Richard Akrofi in defence with Sabah Laryea, Mustapha Essuman Isaac Mensah and Eric Kumi in midfield. Sam Yeboah, Ibrahim Musah and Cosmos Dauda are likely to spearhead the attack.

Techiman City, who drew 2-2 away to New Edubiase United last Sunday, will be led in attack by Stephen Manu with support from Iddrisu Yahaya, Issaka Ibrahim and Samuel Kyere determined to add Hearts to the list of their victims at the Nana Ameyaw Park.

After their famous victory against Hearts in Accra Sports Stadium, league leaders Wa All Stars return to base to play host to Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs who are lying in the 13th position on the league log. All Stars are the only unbeaten side in the competition and look poised to maintain their winning run on home soil against a Dwarfs side who have not won away.

The Baba Yara Stadium will be another centre of attraction as struggling Kumasi Asante Kotoko hope to turn their season around under the guidance of caretaker coach Michael Osei as the Porcupine Warriors lock horns with Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals who are coming off a 5-1 crushing of Ashantigold.

Kotoko are experiencing a difficult start which culminated in a controversial decision by the club’s management to ask head coach David Duncan to step aside and hand over the team to Osei who has since supervised the team’s training. It is left to be seen if that change in baton would pay off against a confident Liberty side who traditionally find the Porcupine Warriors a hard nut to crack in Kumasi.

In the other matches tomorrow, Berekum Chelsea will play host to Aduana in an all-Brong Ahafo affair at the Golden City Park, while Dreams FC travel to Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi to play Ashgold. WAFA will welcome New Edubiase United to their base in Sogakope with Inter Allies, who have not won a match after their shocking loss to Hearts, hosting Bechem United at the Tema Stadium.

The match between Sekondi Hasaacas and Medeama SC has been postponed due to Medeama’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign in Sudan this weekend.
