Hearts dismiss Aduana protest
Accra Hearts of Oak have played down a protest lodged against them by Aduana Stars over the use of an unqualified player in the 26th week league match at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Dormaa-based side has protested against Hearts of Oak for using an unqualified player in the person of Leonard Tawiah in their Ghana Premier League fixture which ended 3-3.
Kwame Opare Addo, the communication manager of Hearts, in an interview with GNA Sports, said the protest alarm raised by Aduana Stars was invalid.
He confirmed that the club was aware of the protest and would soon respond appropriately.
He added that Accra Hearts of Oak would officially respond to the allegation within three days as directed by the Disciplinary Committee.
“We received the protest yesterday and we have three working days to respond to it and we would respond to it as soon as possible, but we know we are not guilty,” he stated.
