Immigration still on top

The Immigration hit squad overcame a tough challenge from Police thrashing them 3-1 in the second match of the ongoing Table Tennis League at the D.G. Hathiramani Hall of the Accra Stadium last Saturday.

The match was among the highlights of the highly competitive week four fixtures.

The day began with the first round matches which saw GRA beating Fire 3-1; Synergy lost 0-3 to Prisons, Madina Club were also defeated 3-0 by Army, while Tesano Spinners beat Navy3-0.

In the other games, Koforidua White Loopers beat Team Baboo 3-1, Police defeated EMEFS 3-1, Ashanti Monetary County lost 0-3 to Kings Royal Academy, while Immigration overpowered Ashaiman Power 3-0.

In the second  round of matches, Kings Royal Academy defeated Team Baboo 3-2, Navy secured a 3-0 win over Ashaiman Power, Ashanti Monetary County beat Army 3-1, while  EMEFS lost 1-3 to Prisons.

The rest of the matches saw Koforidua White Loopers defeating Fire 3-1; GRA beat Tesano Spinners 3-0, with Synergy beating Madina Club 3-0.

Meanwhile, tough spinner William Asare has told the Daily Graphic he is poised to lead the GRA (Customs Division) team to the top of the table and win the league.

According to him being the only man in the GRA team who beats the top seed Felix Lartey of Immigration continuously he is ready to help his team win the league.

“I am eager to help the GRA team win this years league,” he stressed, and called for support from the GRA team.

The league continues this weekend.
