The walk started at the Accra Stadium through some major streets of Osu and La, including the Starlets ‘91 Road, Osu Shell, Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Osu Post Office, Christianborg Crossroads and back to the Accra Stadium.

Participants in the walk included staff from all branches in the Greater Accra Region and Tema, as well as their customers and sister institutions, namely Bank of Ghana, National Lotteries Authority, Ashfoam, Toyota Ghana, Nestle and Juvenex.

The acting CEO of the bank, Henry Oroh, who addressed participants after an aerobics session, explained that the theme for the walk, "Walk for health; Walk for life", was chosen to celebrate workers.

He reiterated the need for Ghanaians to cultivate healthy lifestyles.

Mr Oroh said: "The purpose of this year's walk is to commemorate this year's Workers Day celebration. We believe that all Ghanaian workers must be healthy if the country is to achieve its development targets.

"We are committed to continuously satisfying the needs of our customers and the unwavering support of our customers will help us achieve this."
