Meteors ready for All Africa Games
Head coach of the national U-23 team, Malik Jabir, is confident his team will emulate the feat of their predecessors who won gold in soccer at the last All Africa Games (AAG) in 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique.
He said he expected the players to be fully fit by next month when the games kicks off in Brazzaville, Congo

According to him, the team would begin to take shape by August 10 when they camped at Prampam with the component of the team which would play some Premier League sides as part of their preparations.
He said the foreign-based players were expected to be ready after the pre-season games with their respective clubs and would be invited for trial games during FIFA free day for international games.
"I would invite 20 players for camping but my concern is that I will not get much time to prepare the team for the competition, " he added.
