Moses Foh-Amoaning returns with World Cup Soccer Fiesta
Renowned broadcaster Moses Foh-Amoaning has stormed back onto the screen with authority, rekindling a three-decade legacy of World Cup storytelling as he headlines the World Cup Soccer Fiesta, a compelling, high-energy programme driving anticipation towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A respected voice who first captivated audiences as part of the panel that analysed the 1990 FIFA World Cup, Mr Foh-Amoaning returns to the driver’s seat again with renewed purpose, promising depth, context and rare archival insight as he takes viewers on a compelling journey through football’s greatest spectacle in a way that brings the global showpiece to life for a new generation.
Produced by MOFA Productions with backing from Hisense, the NPA and Star Oil, the 15-part, 30-minute documentary series is designed to inform, entertain and immerse audiences in the rich blend of World Cup history — from its origins in 1930 to the modern era.

Broadcast twice weekly and amplified across social media, the World Cup Soccer Fiesta blends nostalgia with contemporary relevance, showcasing timeless footage of iconic figures such as Italy’s Giuseppe Meazza, German legends Fritz Walter and Franz Beckenbauer, Argentine maestro Diego Maradona and Brazilian Pelé. It also celebrates the brilliance of modern-day stars, including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Mohammed Kudus, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, offering a panoramic view of the game’s most iconic moments.
Mr Foh-Amoaning, also a boxing expert widely remembered for hosting the classic Legendary Fights on GTV, revealed that the programme had been carefully crafted to strike a balance between education and entertainment. Regular segments include “Facts File”, “Team News and Updates”, “Travel Log” and “Fan Zone”, alongside a distinctive cultural twist — an all-star tribute to Ghanaian music icon Daddy Lumba, featuring the Top 200 ‘Aben Wo Ha’ World Cup goals.
The World Cup Soccer Fiesta airs live on GTV Sports+ on Wednesdays and on GTV on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m., with a strong digital extension across Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok. Interactive quizzes and audience engagement features offer viewers the chance to win prizes, further enhancing the show’s appeal.
This week’s edition turns the spotlight on the 1950 and 1954 tournaments, with a special focus on Hungarian great Ferenc Puskás — the star of the 1954 World Cup — as the programme’s “Legend of the Week”.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to unfold across the United States, Canada and Mexico, Soccer Fiesta is positioning itself as both a nostalgic archive and a modern fan companion — a programme that not only revisits football’s greatest moments but also builds anticipation for what lies ahead.
