New stadium for Besiktas

One of the successful football clubs in Turkey, Besiktas is constructing a new multi - million dollar stadium with a seating capacity of 50,000. 

The stadium will replace the old one with a capacity of 32,086.

Beksiktas which was founded in 1903 currently uses the Recep Tayyip Erdogan for their home games. 

The new stadium is expected to be completed in September this year. 

However, an official of the club told the Graphic Sports that work may delay for some few weeks after the 2014 /15 league season. 

Besiktas is so far the only team in Turkey to have won the league three times in a row from 1989/ 90, 1990/ 91 and1991/ 92 league seasons.
