Let’s intensify campaign for victory - Prof. Opoku-Agyemang to NDC members

The running mate to the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has extended her campaign tour to the Eastern Region with a call on the rank and file of the party to intensify their campaign to win new members into their fold.

This, she said, would ensure a one-touch victory for the party at the December 7 polls.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang made the call when she addressed dressmakers, hairdressers, mechanics, food vendors, cosmetic sellers, carpenters and masons in the Suhum Constituency as part of her two-day tour of the Eastern Region.

In her entourage were both national and regional executives of the party who took turns to rally support from the enthusiastic crowd to enable the party to be victorious at the polls.

Support base

The NDC running mate indicated that it was necessary to accept new members into NDC’s fold since that would increase the party’s support base for a convincing victory at this year’s polls.

“Let’s welcome more people whether party supporters or not into our midst because politics is by numbers, and the larger the number the easier victory comes our way.”

“Bring all the people who have not voted for the NDC before to enable them to support us for a one-touch victory at the polls.”

“My party members, I plead with you to drum home the good things about the NDC to win the support of others not in the party fold and that will increase our numerical strength to go to the battle and be successful in the December 7 elections and rescue the country and the people from the unbearable economic hardship,” Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated.

A prosperous Ghana

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated that if the masses heeded the call to join the NDC, the party would be able to administer the country from next year and turn the tide for a prosperous Ghana, the people, children and the next generation.

That, she indicated, was because the inefficient Akufo-Addo – Bawumia administration had nothing good to offer after mismanaging the country’s financial and natural resources for nearly eight years and creating a state of hopelessness for Ghanaians.
