OmniBSIC Bank strengthens brand presence with health walk and digital banking push
OmniBSIC Bank, Ghana’s fastest-growing financial services provider, has reaffirmed its growth ambitions with the seventh edition of its quarterly health walk.
The event, held on March 22, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, attracted approximately 3,000 participants and doubled as the official launch of the bank’s new mobile app, reinforcing its tagline, ‘Not Just Another Bank’.
The 12.8-kilometre walk was designed to promote both physical and financial discipline. Managing Director Daniel Asiedu linked the theme of endurance and consistency to the bank’s broader approach to customer service and financial stability.
“The discipline required to maintain one’s health is no different from the discipline needed to achieve financial security. At OmniBSIC, we are committed to supporting both, ensuring that our customers have the right tools to build their future,” he said.
As part of its commitment to supporting businesses, the bank provided exhibition booths for entrepreneurs, creating a networking platform for over 100 exhibitors across industries such as FMCGs, travel and tourism, construction, and fashion.
Exhibitors expressed appreciation for the opportunity, with Kofi Mensah of Kofi & Ko Fashion House noting that *“OmniBSIC Bank is truly investing in businesses like ours.
The foot traffic at our booth was incredible, and we’ve made connections that will undoubtedly help us grow.”
A key highlight of the event was the launch of OmniBSIC’s new mobile banking app, which features biometric authentication, real-time alerts, and an intuitive interface to enhance customer convenience.
“This is not just another mobile banking app—it represents a significant step forward in how we serve our customers,” Mr Asiedu stated. He emphasised that the move was part of the bank’s strategy to remain competitive in an evolving financial landscape.
OmniBSIC Bank’s expansion follows a strong financial performance in 2024, with profits doubling to GH¢314 million. The bank has also received key industry recognitions, including Bank of the Year (Ghana Business Standard Awards, 2024) and Best Corporate Bank, Ghana (Global Banking and Finance Awards, 2024). With a network of 40 branches, the bank aims to sustain its momentum by deepening customer trust and strengthening its digital footprint.
