Samira Suleman and Portia Boakye's goals were not enough to send Ghana through to the next stage to face Ivory Coast.
Ghana started the match on a bright note with an early attempt at goal through Agnes Aduako in the eight minutes but it hit the post and off to safety.
The Lionesses were giving Yusif Basigi’s side a good run for their money but Samira Suleman put her side ahead in the 15th minute after she latched onto a corner delivered by Portia Boakye to beat Cameroon goalkeeper Ngo Ndom Annette for the opener.
The Cameroonians started pilling pressure and pushing forward for the equalizer but the Ghanaians defense were up to the task to advance to the final qualification stage until Ngono Mani Madelain equalized with a minute to end the first half to beat goalkeeper Patricia Mantey.
In the second half, the introduction of foreign based Elizabeth Addo changed the pace of the game which saw the Queens hungrier.
Addo’s presence added bite in midfield as Ghana went ahead again through a well-taken cross from Suleman connected by Boakye in the 47th minute.
Defenders Linda Eshun and Janet Egyir displayed a good defensive work to deny the visitors from getting the equalizer until substitute Agnes Nkada pulled parity in the 83rdminute after heading in a cross from the right side of attack.
Black Queens starting XI: Patricia Mantey (GK), Hilia Cobblah, Cynthia Adobea, Janet Egyir, Linda Eshun, Mercy Myles, Juliet Acheampong, Safia Abdul Rahman/Elizabeth Addo, Portia Boagye, and Agnes Aduako/Grace Adams.
