The event, titled "Rumble at Fadama", was organised by Ringside Promotions and sponsored by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Boamah.

The night featured seven exciting bouts, headlined by a three-round super bantamweight contest between Jerry Robertson and Vandolf Okrah. In another highlight, lightweight boxer Felix Ajom took on Prince Amarquaye in a lively exhibition match.

The event, which was aimed at fostering peace and togetherness among the inhabitants of Fadama and Okaikwei Central, was well-attended by the local community, adding to the charged atmosphere at the venue.

One of the professional bouts saw a tightly-contested lightweight clash between Jonathan Mbawugu and Samuel Adjei, which ended in a draw after three rounds of competitive action.

Amateur boxers also showcased their skills, with Henry Owusu facing off against Desmond Anaba in a three-round contest, and Caleb Mensah taking on Caleb Dadzie.

Other amateur bouts included Wisdom Barnor against Jepthto Tetteh, and Adnan Sani squaring off against Abdul Baku Adani.

Mr Boamah, who sponsored the event, used the platform to encourage residents of Fadama to maintain peace and avoid violence during this year’s elections.

He emphasised the need for unity to address the developmental challenges in the constituency.
