Veteran football administrator, Nana Fitz, has appealed for calm over the seeming tension between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

His call comes on the back of a letter written by the ministry to the FA to register its displeasure over what it deemed attempts by the football controlling body to relegate it to the background in the management of the Black Stars.

However,  the one-time chairman of  Kumasi Cornerstones, contended in an interview with  the Graphic Sports last Saturday that the posture of the two bodies would not help Ghana fooball and until sanity prevailed Ghana football would be the ultimate loser.

He said he was ready to help broker peace and promote a healthy working relationship between the two administrations.

"I want to avail myself to help settle this issue to ensure peace between the FA and the ministry just as I did sometime ago when there was total confusion within the GOC",  he noted.

Nana Fitz said the display of authority by both sides was unnecessary at such a critical moment. “Ghana football would still exist when these men at the helm of affairs are out of the scene”, he argued and urged them to bury their egos and work together for the benefit of the country.

"My main concern is to ensure a good image for the country because the minister and the FA president will one day go but the country would still remain" Nana Fitz stressed.

The vetran administrator also advised the FA to refrain from treating the Black Stars as though it was their personal property and that it was only a privilege to be managing a national asset, which must be treated as such.
