Sekondi MP Egyapa Mercer rewards Eleven Wise after Division 1 promotion

The Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, and Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, hosted the Sekondi Eleven Wise team at his home last Sunday to celebrate their promotion to the Access Bank Division One League.

Eleven Wise secured their promotion with a late goal last Saturday, clinching a 1-0 victory over Nsuopun Fidelity in the finals of the Western Region Division Two Super Middle League.

Mr. Mercer traveled to Tarkwa to watch the game and cheer on the Eleven Wise team. Following the match, he rewarded the team with GH₵20,000 as a winning bonus. Additionally, he invited the entire team to his home and donated another GH₵10,000.

In welcoming the team, Mr. Mercer highlighted the importance of their victory for the community. He stated that sports play a vital role in bringing people together and supporting local talent. His donation was a gesture of gratitude and encouragement for the team to achieve even greater success.
