Morata has signed a four-year deal until June 2028, with the option of a further year.

The 31-year-old heads to San Siro as a European Championship winner after captaining Spain to Euro 2024 glory with a 2-1 win over England in the final.

Morata was linked with a move to both Manchester United and the Saudi Pro League, but now returns to Serie A after a two-season loan spell with Juventus.

The club have confirmed that Morata will wear the No. 7 shirt which previously belonged to Yacine Adli.

Morata rose to prominence at Real Madrid before joining Juventus for a first spell in July 2014.

After winning two Italian titles with the Bianconeri, he returned to the Bernabeu in June 2016 when Los Blancos activated their buy-back clause.

Morata won the La Liga title in 2017 before making a big-money £65million move to Chelsea that summer.

The striker would struggle at Stamford Bridge, and would leave for an initial loan to Atletico in January 2019 that would become permanent in July 2020.

He featured for Diego Simeone's side last season, after managing 21 goals in 48 appearances across all competitions, ahead of a glorious summer with the national team.

Morata skippered the team to glory, but scored just one goal in their Group B opener against Croatia.

This summer's Euros triumph adds to his impressive collection of silverware which includes two UEFA Champions Leagues, two Europa Leagues, two La Liga titles, two Serie A titles and the Club World Cup.
