Table Tennis: Immigration are league champions
The men’s tennis team of the Ghana Immigration Service last Saturday won the National Table Tennis League after bagging 58 points.

They took home GH¢2,000 and a trophy while the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) received GH¢ 1,200 as runners-up.
Ghana Police, who placed third got GH¢ 1,000 as cash prize with Ghana Fire Service receiving GH ¢500 for finishing fourth.
The Police women’s team emerged winners of the women’s team and received GH¢ 1,500 as their cash prize together with a trophy while Ghana Lady received GH¢800 for placing second.
Immigration and GRA took the third and fourth positions respectively.
National top seed, Derek Abrefa, and Beatrice Gyasi, were crowned the best players in the men and women’s divisions and had as their cash prizes GH¢ 1,000 and GH¢ 800 respectively, a certificate, and an Asky Airline sponsored trip to any destination of their choice.
In an interview with Daily Graphic, the president of the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Mawuko Afadzinu, described this year's league as successful and urged players to train hard ahead of the new season.
He, however, tasked the players to aspire to win international competitions.
