Unity FC destroying my career — Oppong
Left back Steven Oppong, is unhappy with life at Unity FC, a Division One League club and wants to terminate his contract and move on.
After playing just one season, the talented young player says he is tired of warming up the bench and wants fresh challenges in his career.
The former KFC Samosa youth player joined the Division One giants in 2014 after an impressive showing in the DOL.
The 18-year-old hardly featured for Unity in the 2015 GN Bank Division One League season as he mostly came in as substitute.
Speaking to the Graphic Sports, Oppong expressed his displeasure about the frustrations he was going through at Unity, contending that the situation could hurt his career.
“I am ready to terminate my contract with Unity for fresh challenges. I don’t see myself as a second choice player.
I had a good season with Samosa before joining Unity and I don’t see why I should not be playing regularly,” he stated.
