The team’s chief executive officer, Mike Osekre, concedes that although the zone consists of strong sides such as Accra Great Olympics, Heart of Lions, King Solomon, Okwawu United, among others, his side has the capability to weather the storm.

“Our goal is to use the first two seasons in the DOL to settle down and break into the elite division by the third season.

This is our first time in Division One and it's not going to be easy but we will fight hard to achieve our goal,” he stated confidently in an interview with the Graphic Sports at Tema, after his side had lost 0-1 to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a friendly encounter.

Mr Osekre said his team boasted of some young talents capable of propelling them to achieve their target.

According to him, Vision FC intends to use the astro turf at the Tema stadium and later relocate to their own ground which is under reconstruction.

Ivan Buggi Bujagic, head coach of the club, was impressed with his lads’ performance against Kotoko although he contended that bad officiating denied them an opportunity to earn at least a draw.

"I don’t understand how refereeing goes in Ghana, but I think I have to prepare for the worse,” he said.

Vision FC sealed qualification to the second-tier league after playing five games in the Greater Accra Second Division Middle League, winning all to amass 15 points, eight clear points ahead of second-placed True Demo.
