We’ve broken Dwarfs’ dominance — Sharks coach

Coach of Elimina Sharks, Kofi Amissah, has said that the elimination of their bogey side, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, in the round of 32 of the ongoing MTN FA Cup brings to an end the dominance of the Abontua Bontua boys  over his club.

“Yes everybody knows Dwarfs have been our bogey side for long but we have broken that jinx when we eliminated them from the FA Cup” he told the Graphic Sports in an interview yesterday.

He said even though the victory over Dwarfs last Sunday was fulfilling, that was not going to be the end, saying the club was aiming beyond just the FA Cup qualification.

Elmina Sharks last Sunday beat Dwarfs on penalties after a barren draw during regulation time  to qualify for the round of 16 in the MTN/ FA Cup played at the Nduom Stadium at Elmina and many followers of the club are optimistic that there is no turning back for the blossoming Division One club.

He said Elmina Sharks would not underrate any club but work harder to match every club boot for boot to win their matches.

Coach Amissah commended the supporters of the club for their immense support during the game against Dwarfs, describing it as very encouraging, and urged them to continue to support the club .
