Women's League kicks off March 14

Defending champions Hasaacas Ladies will open the defence of their title on March 14 when the National Women's League kicks off.

Hasaacas beat Fabulous Ladies on penalties in the second edition of the league to retain the title.

Three sides — Lepo Ladies, Blessed Ladies and Kansa Ladies — will join the competition after gaining promotion.

According to the league schedule released on the GFA’s official website, the start of the season will be preceded by a training programme for stakeholders of the league today, while registration of players will be verified and published from March 2-9.

Meanwhile, the second round of the Women’s League will start on April 25, with the play-offs kicking off on June 6.

This year’s title will be contested  by Ash-town Ladies, Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Fabulous Ladies, Hasaacas Ladies, Immigration Ladies, Ladystrikers FC, Police Ladies, Prisons Ladies, Soccer Intellectuals, Blessed Ladies, Lepo Ladies and Kansa Ladies.
