Zenith Bank walks for health

The Sunyani branch of the Zenith Bank Ghana Ltd has organised a health walk for stakeholders in the banking industry in the municipality.

The four-hour walk took participants, made up of bankers, non-bank financial institutions, students, church, and keep fit club members, as well as customers, through some principal streets in the Sunyani municipality. 

The group later converged at the Sunyani Golden Jubilee Park for some muscle  drills under the instruction of Mr Thomas Harry Boham of Joe Calar Physiotherapy centre, in Sunyani.

 In an address read on his behalf by the Sunyani Branch Manger of Zenith Bank, Mr Michael Ofori Kumi, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Zenith Bank Ghana Ltd, Mr Daniel Asiedu, said the bank truly   valued the health of its customers, partners and staff, hence the health walk. He said the exercise was also aimed at creating a healthy bond of friendship amongst its stakeholders, while working towards healthy lifestyles. 

On the theme for the exercise: “Think service, think Zenith,” Mr Asiedu said since the inception of the bank in 2005, service had been its hallmark and this value continued to underpin all aspects of the bank’s operations over the past eight years. 

The MD/CEO further stated that Zenith Bank’s vision of being the reference point  in the provision of prompt, flawless and innovative banking services in the Ghanaian banking industry was still on course, and pledged the commitment of his bank towards the realisation of its vision.

 For his part, Rolex urged Ghanaians to be more concerned with their health and exercise regularly to keep fit and be healthy, for higher productivity. He said every person needed a sound mind to perform any task of life, right from the home, to school, workplace, marketplace, church and to the larger society, and stressed that a healthy mind, lived in a healthy body. 

The branch manger thanked all participants in the exercise and commended them for their support, co-operation and comportment, which made the entire programme very successful.

In a benediction, the Head Pastor of the Assemblies of God- Liberty Centre Church , Rev. Joseph Danquah,  prayed God to make Ghanaians healthy, prosperous, great and strong.
