Diaspora Property Expo 2025 launched in Accra
Diaspora Property Expo (DPE) 2025, a project that aims to bridge the gap between the Ghanaian diaspora and investment opportunities in Ghana, mainly targeting growth and development in the real estate sector, was officially launched on November 20, 2024, at the Accra Marriott Hotel, Airport City.
Attracting a variety of stakeholders in the real estate business, as well as government officials, the event threw an extensive light on the real estate and property market in the country and the different efforts being made, especially by private businesses, to boost the sector.

“Over 57 Ghanaian property developers, real estate experts/agencies, financial service providers (mortgage financiers) design agencies have applied to participate in DPE 2025 in Canada and the US, but only 20 companies will qualify to participate in each expo,” the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Shipping Handlings Ltd and a member of the DPE 2025 Local Planning Board in charge of Sponsorship & Exhibitions, Roland Thomas, explained at the launch.
The Chief Director, Ministry of Works & Housing, Rev. Stephen Yaw Osei, represented the Minister, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah. He said the ministry was always pleased to be involved in events such as DPE 2025 as they provide important pointers on key achievements and help build appropriate synergies for advancing the development of the housing sector.
According to him, there is a wide gap between the demand for and the supply of housing across the country and the government aims to promote greater private sector participation in the nation’s housing-related matters.
The DPE 2025 is organised by the Diaspora Property Investment Limited, Made-in-Ghana Consulting Limited and Diaspora Property Expo LLC (North Carolina), in partnership with the World Trade Centre (Philadelphia), the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), the Ministry of Works and Housing, the Ghana Embassy in
Washington DC, the Ghana High Commission in Canada, Globl RED Consulting LLC (Beverly Hills), Nkunim Diaspora City, Mankessim, Ghana, Exclusive Ride Ghana, the Global Handlings Shipping Limited and Aim to Impact (Toronto).
