Graphic Business-TBSC Version 6.0: University of Ghana retains South East Zone title
The University of Ghana (UG), Legon, retained its title as the South East Zone champions of the ongoing Graphic Business Tertiary Business Sense Challenge.
In the final event staged at the Accra Technical University, the champions brushed off the challenge from Central University and Heritage Christian University College (HCUC).

UG’s quartet of Peter Emeka Ike, Edwin Entsiey, Jonathan Sowah and Prince Ascod Bordoh dominated their opponents from start to finish, scoring a total of 67.67 points to place first.
The Central University's quartet of Melomey Graham Goshen, Emmanuel Nyarko, Egesi Favour Oneykachi and Amoah John scored 38.33 points to place second, and with 20.33 points, HCUC, represented by Rose Carl Larbi, Emmanuel Mensah, Hayford Kumah-Mensah and Theresa Kwakyewaa Baidoo placed third.
Contest
Nineteen schools competed in the South East Zone when the contest began last Monday but, only three made it to the final.
Legon's feat has elevated them to the exclusive club of zonal champions made up of the University of Education Winneba (UEW) which won the South West Zone, the S. D. Dombo University of Business and Integrated Studies (SDD-UBIDS) took the Northern Zone, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) winning the middle zone.
16 Finalists
Despite their shortfall, HCUC and Central University joined the University of Ghana as three of the 16 schools that qualified for the national championship.
The rest are University of Education Winneba, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Nduom School of Business and Technology, KNUST, University of Professional Studies (ATU), Accra (UPSA), Accra Technical University and the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).

The rest are Valley View University, Catholic University, the S. D. Dombo University for Business and Integrated Development Studies and the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU).
Much harder task
In congratulating the three South East Zone finalists, the quiz master, Alhassan Trawule, reminded the students that the competition would get keener in the national championships.
He urged them to be better and well prepared for much more difficult tasks ahead.
The quiz master also encouraged students of the 16 qualified schools to throng the venues to support their schools in the competition.
