Goil excels again at 40th CIMG Awards
GOIL Ghana Limited was once again the winner of the Marketing-Oriented Company of the Year 2020 at the 40th Anniversary and Annual National Marketing Performance Awards of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).
GOIL for the third year running was also retained as a Hall of Fame Winner- Petroleum Company of the Year.
In a citation accompanying the award as the Marketing Oriented Company, the CIMG referred to target marketing, customer needs, integrated marketing and profitability as key pillars used to persuade the needs of customers, enhance sales, exploit earnings and beat off competition.’
The CIMG also noted GOIL’s efforts to personalise communications by adjusting messages and customers and preferences to show the content on different channels to improve engagements.
GOIL won the same award on two different assessing years.
The nation’s biggest Oil Marketing Company was also retained as a CIMG Hall of Fame Petroleum Company for the third successive year.
A CIMG citation recognised the introduction of SUPERXP RON 95 quality gasoline and the exceptional output achieved.
This and many others were commended as helping establish ‘GOIL “as the nation’s preferred energy products company.”
GOIL was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame category in 2018 after chalking up four successive feats as CIMG Petroleum Company of the Year in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Commenting on the awards, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of GOIL, Kwame Osei Prempeh, paid tribute to the company’s customers for their loyalty to the brand and promised to champion the introduction of quality fuel such as the Super XP RON 95 petrol and the sale of ultra-low Sulphur Diesel on the market.
He also assured consumers of the best and value for money for products purchased.
Over the past 10 years, GOIL has been recognised as a CIMG celebrated legacy brand for keeping its brand going for the past 30 years and more and contributing its quota by being a trial-blazer and market leader in the downstream petroleum sector.
