JAC Motors expands into Ghana with Tryton Motors partnership
JAC Motors, a global automotive leader, has officially launched its presence in Ghana through a partnership with Tryton Motors Limited.
The event, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Accra, showcased the brand’s latest vehicle offerings.

The Sales Manager for South-West Africa at JAC Group, Mr. Bruce Zhao highlighted the company’s global footprint, noting, “With our presence in over 130 countries and nearly 10 million customers, we saw an 18% increase in 2023 sales to 592,500 units and a 60% rise in exports to 250,000 units.
Building on nearly two decades of success in Africa, we are expanding into Ghana through our new partnership with Tryton Motors Ltd.” He also expressed gratitude for the collaboration and mentioned JAC’s upcoming 60th anniversary in October 2024.
The CEO of Tryton Motors, Mr. Jihad Hijazi emphasized that the partnership with JAC is built on shared values of practicality, learning, and innovation. He announced that Tryton Motors would offer a broad range of JAC vehicles, including trucks, commercial vehicles, SUVs, passenger cars, spare parts, and aftersales support, all tailored to meet various customer needs.
He noted, “JAC’s offerings are designed to be reliable, affordable, and equipped with the latest technologies, reflecting our commitment to continuous innovation,” and hinted at future developments in the Electric Vehicle segment.
The event also featured the unveiling of the new JAC vehicle models. In the passenger vehicle category, Tryton Motors introduced the JAC JS2, JS4, and JS6 SUVs. The JAC JS2, an entry-level SUV, combines compact efficiency with comfort and style, offering exceptional quality and value.
The JAC JS4, a modern mid-sized SUV, boasts a sleek design, advanced safety features, and spacious interiors. The JAC JS6, the flagship SUV, is designed for those seeking a blend of performance, luxury, and comfort, featuring futuristic designs and a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission.

In the light commercial segment, Tryton Motors unveiled the JAC T8 and T9 pick-up trucks. The JAC T8, a robust Double Cabin 4x4 Pick-Up, is designed to excel on Ghanaian roads with its powerful 2.0-liter Turbo Intercooler Diesel Engine and high ground clearance. The flagship JAC T9 Pick-Up combines rugged capability with refined comfort, featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and advanced technology such as a 360-Degree Camera System, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and multiple driving modes.
The General Manager-Sales of Tryton Motors, Mrs. Delali Greenstock addressed the longstanding misconceptions about Chinese-manufactured vehicles, stating that JAC Motors exemplifies the significant advancements in the sector and stands proudly alongside globally renowned brands.
