New SIC Life Insurance board inaugurated

The Deputy Minister for Finance, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has inaugurated a nine-member Board of Directors of SIC Life Insurance Company Limited in Accra, with a call on them to help reposition the company as a competitive state-owned enterprise.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening state-owned enterprises, stressing that public and government business, where practicable, will be directed to these institutions. According to him, the directive forms part of a broader national strategy to enable state-owned companies to regain their competitiveness and play a central role in economic development.
