See the list of the 25 licensed Savings and Loans Companies
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has published a list of the 25 licensed Finance House (Savings and Loans Companies) as of August 16, 2019.
Additionally, the BoG has also published the list of licensed Finance Houses (11), Leasing Companies (1), Mortgage Finance (1), Finance and Leasing Companies (3) and Remittance Companies (1).
It will be recalled that the BoG on August 16 revoked the licences of twenty-three insolvent savings and loans companies and finance house companies.

A statement issued by the BoG said the revocation of the licences of the institutions had become necessary because they were insolvent even after a reasonable period within which the Bank of Ghana had engaged with them in the hope that they would be recapitalized by their shareholders to return them to solvency.
