Serwaa Doku wins Health Personality Award at Global Women Leadership Summit

Mrs Fredericka Serwaa Doku, a registered dietitian and women’s health advocate, has been named Health Personality (Dietician) at the 2025 Global Women Leadership Summit and Awards.

The annual summit recognises and celebrates women who have made significant contributions in their fields, with this year’s edition highlighting changemakers driving impact in health, business, and leadership.

Mrs Serwaa Doku received the award for her dedication as a women’s health champion, particularly her efforts in helping women build sustainable and healthy relationships with food and their bodies.

Speaking after receiving the honour, she expressed her delight at the recognition. “I would like to thank the organisers for recognising my efforts and I receive this award with great pleasure. This will urge me to do the best for the good of humanity,” she said.

With a dynamic approach to nutrition education, she combines evidence-based nutrition science with culinary creativity to promote women’s wellness. Popularly known as the “Finest Dietitian,” she has become a trusted voice in nutrition, breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable messages through television, radio and social media.

Mrs Serwaa Doku is also the founder and CEO of Hale and Hearty Nutrition and the PCOS Foundation Ghana, platforms through which she continues to drive awareness and advocacy on women’s health issues. Her work extends to hosting cooking demonstrations, delivering health talks, and producing engaging online content designed to make nutrition accessible, practical and culturally relevant.

She holds a postgraduate certificate from Wageningen University of Research in the Netherlands, a master’s degree in human nutrition and dietetics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition from the University of Cape Coast.
