The Fulbright Programme celebrates 75th anniversary

The Fulbright Programme has sent over 350 Ghanaian scholars, teachers, and students to the United States to attend graduate programmes, teach, or conduct academic research.
Over 430 American Fulbright scholars and students have come to Ghana since the 1970s.
Ghanaian Fulbright alumni have held positions of leadership in Ghana’s educational systems including that of Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor.
Some have held positions of Speaker of Parliament, Ministers of State, and Members of Parliament.
The late former President John Evans Atta Mills was an alumnus of the Fulbright Programme having participated in 1970 at Stanford Law School.
These illustrious alumni from Ghana join the ranks of 160 participating countries and over 400,000 Fulbrighters worldwide who have accomplished significant achievements toward making a global impact.
