Do VRA, GRIDCo, ECG and PURC respect Ghanaians?

For the past three years, Ghanaians have been putting up with a discomfiting situation of erratic power supply that has popularly come to be known as ‘dumsor dumsor’.

When it started, expectations were that it might not last for long and for that reason Ghanaians took it in their stride.

However, the fact that it was taken for granted, in the hope that things would get better, has culminated in a repeated illusion that gets darker day after day.

Towards the end of last year, the Daily Graphic called on the power providers to come up with a timetable with religious adherence that would aid both businesses and individuals to live and plan their lives accordingly.

Thankfully, they listened and came up with a load-shedding programme that saw industries having six days of uninterrupted power supply and two days of outage, including Sundays.
