GMB’s Akosua launches hashtag for nose masks

Several countries, including Ghana, have made the wearing of such masks compulsory for their citizens.

Since the coronavirus outbreak, personalities from all sectors have joined in the fight against the virus by using their platforms to ensure the preventive measures are adhered to.

One such person is second runner up of Ghana’s Most Beautiful in 2010, Oheneba Akosua Kyerewaa who is currently a news anchor on Angel TV.

With support from some individuals and organisations, Akosua has launched a hashtag# in support of the nose mask agenda on her Instagram page calling it #ohenebaakosuanosemaskchallenge.

With the challenge, Akosua encourages people to send a picture of themselves rocking their nose masks wherever they find themselves. Every week, she selects those who truly rocked their masks and offers them prizes such as personal protective equipment (PPE) or cash.

Akosua said the challenge was her own small way of contributing her quota to efforts to eliminate coronavirus from Ghana.
